i read this article earlier, i think its pretty interesting...and it makes perfect sense...
"Professor Arnold Ludwig, M.D., of the University of Kentucky studied 1,000 "original thinkers" of the 20th century and found that:
'Crazy people tend to choose creative jobs,' and the most consistently off-kilter are poets. To be more precise 'Ludwig's study, "Method and Madness in the Arts and Sciences," reports that nearly 9 out of 10 poets surveyed have had diagnosable mental disorders.' On the other end of the spectrum, only about 28% of physicists and biologists have mental disorders -- the lowest percentage tested. The crazy runners-up: fiction writers are second, at 77%; theater people are at 74%; visual arts, 73%; musicians, 68%."
this really explains a lot about the photographers, artists, writers and poets i've met.
although...i have to wonder...does this mean i'm 73% crazy?
and i promise, i totally didn't make this up, this was an actual scientific study
